Mandurah Trolling

This weekend, we tried finding the warmer surface water temperatures to try and target SBT's.
After heading out early morning and trolling in the 90m-110m mark, not getting any fish hooked up, headed back to the 30m contour where we had picked up some Bonito and SBT's (up to 2kg) the previous weekend. Didnt catch any SBT''s there either but we did manage to catch 7 Bonito's.
We also caught a little shark of some sort nearer to the Dawesville cut. (Not sure what shark it is....)
Has anyone tried trolling for some SBT's and caught any nearby Mandurah???

He didn't jump much, was trying to stay down and not surface, but once he came up, he was easy to bring in.
Still trying to find the SBT and Spanish Makarels.

Need to get a bigger one than that! Hummm? Purple Lure?
Hey Chris,
What is it about purple lures I see it in all the photos. It looks like a p-line predator they had on FishingWA last year?
Is there something about purple lures?? Wouldn't normally go out and buy one. But looking at these, I think I will now.
Anyone been getting anything good while trolling purple lures... perhaps an SBT above 10kg?

ive always found dark colours
ive always found dark colours work well for tuna purples blues and black lures work great
ran out of lures one day while trolling had one halco laser pro with no bib left and no colour it had been smashed so many times, spray painted it black and trolled it around looked like a spastic popper in the water but turned out to be dynamite for tuna, mackies wouldnt touch it though
