 I've got a Garmin plotter

I've got a Garmin plotter with the Bluechart g2 maps. I've also got the Navionics app on my phone.  The Navionics maps s##t all over the Garmin ones.

The best part about Navionics is putting it in SonarCharts mode. I think it uses depth readings recorded by people and uploaded to their server.  It gives way more detail than anything else.

Not sure if you can get the Navionics SonarCharts on your plotter, but if you can it's the way forward.

The app is listed as $27 in

The app is listed as $27 in the Android Store. I think that lasts for a year, then you have to pay another $14 a year to continue to get updates.

If you don't pay the subscription, then you just keep the maps that you've already downloaded and don't get any more updates to it.

I had it on iPhone and now on

I had it on iPhone and now on my Samsung and the iphone version is wayyyyy better as it can auto plot your route for you and provide travel time, fuel usage etc.

If anything it's good for having a look around for new areas to hitup whilst sitting on the shitter but it saved my arse once when the GPS on my plotter decided to die just out of Hillarys
