Submitted by fishmad69 on Tue, 2011-03-15 17:34
If anyone can help me. I'm trying to find a software programme for my PC where I can put in my waypoints so if for some reason I lose them through the GPS I have a back-up plan. Does anyone how or where to get such a programme
Thanks

There is also some software
There is also some software by navionics for 25 euro. Its the same maps as in your charts, and in the iphone/android apps. You have to have the adobe air installer on your computer, it will prompt to install these if you don;t have them.

Enter store >
Download the Navionics PC

mapping software for pc
hi fishmad 69 I use Tsunamis Navigator mapping software on a Toshiba notebook with a 12" screen and find it to brilliant. I also run PcFF80 fishfinder software and magic black box and transducer which I also find very good. Both of these programmes run concurrent and I can swith from one to the other with a one key movement. If memory serves me right the navigation cost in the region of $750.00 and the fishfinder setup cost approx $1100. The toshiba cost about $150 and I made a ally box to hold the computer in. At Exmouth a few years back I took a greeny over the bow and it crashed onto and into the box holding the toshiba as a conciquence it came to a rapid holt.. I took it back to the c/van washed it out with fresh water left it to dry for two days then tured it on and hey presto it has worked great ever since, by the way I use in in my boat which is a 6m quinney.Exellent screen size and great resolution for a fraction of the cost of a large dedicated GPS/fishfinder software is upgradeable via the net and hooking it up to a small GPS unit was very cheap. Hope this helps you a bit

If I spent half as long fishing , as I do reading this bloody forum , I'd be twice the fisherman I am.
