matching bricks!
Submitted by lunker on Thu, 2010-11-11 11:13
Hi guys, I've got an old airconditioner unit I want to remove as it is useless. The unit will leave a big hole which I want to patch up, so I need to track down some bricks for the job. It is a street-facing wall so the closest matching brick is obviously needed.
Here's some photos of them... hopefully with all three pics you get an idea of what they're like. Does anybody have any lying around they don't need? If not, can you guys recommend where I may track down some matching ones?
Cheers! - Chris

aha
what are the dimensions of the bricks req'd?
i might be able to grab some from other sites if we have the right type/colour, otherwise go to midland bricks midland sales yard with a sample or dimensions.
p.s. if you are going to do that patch yourself, pack the bricks out with masonary or plastic packers, and point them with mortar after. or just hang a big dart board over the hole....

Great thanks for all the replies guys. Will check out the brickmatch mob first I think, it's not too far either. Only problem is the bastard builder thought he'd clean up the site so there's no samples lying around to take in! Bet if I dig around there'll be some in the garden.
