Melanoma

Be sun smart people.
Had a freckle on my top lip that was growing at an exponential rate. A quick trip to the dermatologist and an even quicker trip to a plastic surgeon saw a stage zero ( thank fuck ) in situ melanoma removed along with a decent piece of my top lip. Most impressed by the all Lady surgical team. Looking a little like Miss Piggy in the nose department at the moment....:)

Glad you got onto it early
Glad you got onto it early Silver Fox, melanoma is a terribly agressive cancer and once detected should be monitored and checked for other skin changes for life.
Once a year check ups by a skin specialist should be on everyone's agenda, no matter of age.

Very lucky. Can never be too
Very lucky. Can never be too careful with things like that considering we spend a lot of time out in the sun doing what we enjoy. I'm off to the docs on Thursday to get a couple checked out myself

Who’d have thought a mouth could be so missed?.
The small things in life we take for granted ( like feeding and watering one's self ) are being missed at the moment. Mrs Silver Fox had a cook up on Sunday and made me some baby food on steroids. Potato and leek and a wicked pumpkin soup. Jelly cups, custard and chocolate yogo are the go at the moment. Small servings on a teaspoon that can be rotated upside down in my mouth and licked off with my tongue is keeping me happy. I tried using a straw and got my ass well and truly handed to me. Drinking from a cup is slightly less messier yet more effective!.

Just had a melonoma removed
Just had a melonoma removed from the right eyelid, about half an hour ago.
Looking like it's going to be fine for me, got it very early.
Lost bottom eyelashes by the looks.
But don't take chances, having had a very active outdoor life, I have had a good few removed.

Hope you're on the mend mate.
One of my deckies had the whole front of his forehead removed (two operations) to remove a melamona.
Not a pleasant experience.
