Great Makkie mate

I still havent opened the metro makkie account!

What sort of depth were you in?

When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:

n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or

n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.

Very nice! Seems you've been doing really well on the pelagics lately. Did you manage to get the scales on him?

I've had two xraps break the same way as the one in that pic. Seeing as one caught my first mackie, first wahoo and first yellowfin (and several more) and the other caught a mackie, shark mackie, yellowfin and a several other hookups, they've still been good value. Just gotta stop that back bit from happening, because apart from that they can deal with massive amounts of abuse and still swim perfect.

only a metal sleeve on the end will stop big teeth from chomping wood to pulp!

but nothing a little plastic steel filler can't fix...

Its not the chomp, its the wire pulling though the wood or the plastic. And you'd need to get the water out for the plastic ones anyways. Still, xraps are much more durable, swim better and catch more fish than halcos :p
