Queenfish

Off Floreat Drain??? Now thats interesting. I have never heard of a Queenie caught metro.

And it wasnt aimed at you as your question has been answered.

Find some areas adjcent to reef structure and look for "champagne" water. Its where there is plenty of airbubbles in the mix but still predominantely blue. I find this better than all foamed up water. Tailor ambush their confused prey in this cammouflage.

I got a couple of nice 35cm

Tue, 2014-11-18 15:54

I got a couple of nice 35cm choppers at a central metro rock platform on Sunday evening.  There was 30 minutes of chaos with every cast smashed including catch of the day escaping on the rocks (always the case) about 30 mins after sunset, then it all went dead.  Got a decent sized herring too (I was only on a gang of size 1 hooks), and a heap of small silver bream.  THe tailor were way out the back, tasted great too.

Sat, 2014-11-22 15:22

went with son to south beach last weekend.suprisingly good.I have been living in and out of Carnarvon for the last 10 years so hopes were not high locally. There was tarwhine every where and good size herring and the boy scored a 630mm flathead that was almost blue.must have been in the sea for a while.it was a bartail not a bluespot.might go again kinda er now

Thats an awasome flathead off

Thats an awasome flathead off the beach. Perth beach fishing can be very productive at times. If you berley up and be versatile you can come home with a feed most days.
