MH370 Theories
Submitted by sea-kem on Sun, 2014-03-16 21:41
Probably the biggest news story on the planet at the moment so am interested in peoples theories etc.So let's speculate. I'm thinking there would be a few nervous American military leaders at the moment knowing there's a stolen 777 out there possibly being turned into a huge flying bomb. 7 confirmed hours of fling time after the last satellite transmission. It could be anywhere Pakistan, Afghanistan who knows it's literally flown off the radar. It's definitely been hijacked and I don't think anyone will claim responsibity for it until they try to do their dirty deed. As for the passengers, my thoughts are with their families. That's just my theory.

Seriously, how the fuck in this day and age, when I can track my phone with a free app, do you loose a commercial passenger plane?

bizarre, without a doubt.The
bizarre, without a doubt.
The Chinese have it and are copying it-there will be a fleet of GreatWall 777's knockoffs appear on Ebay soon
Seriously, it is an awful situation for the families, if its crashed and not found in the Indian Ocean somewhere besides the immediate tragedy, there will be ramifications on insurance companies paying out life insurance in a timely fashion leaving families with no breadwinner or compensation for support etc

Got a FB message saying the
Got a FB message saying the plane changed course and was shot down by M'sia's Airface by mistake due to communication error. The debri is scattered throughout Straights of Melacca and the M'sian government is trying to cover up and hence the mix-message in their press conference.
Given that's how they communicate with their fellow citizens on various matters including the murder of Altantuya -Mongolia chic, I am not surprised they use the same tatics here for the missing plane. Only difference now they have an international audience to answer for, they cannot give an absurb answer and called it case-closed.
What a farking stupid way to use the witch doctor to locate the missing plane - one FB message was quoted the M'sian government spent RM$1million of the public's money to hire to witch doctor.......then again I am not surprised given their track record of spending public's money with no accountability.
Finally the world get to see how the M'sian government response to various issues ......

This whole thing is totaly weird.
Malaysia is certainly going to have a lot of questions to answer. Knowing a plane has gone missing, picked up on military radar and then doing nothing.
One point that know one has mentioned is, if the plane was subject to foul play, how do you keep 239 passengers and crew in their seats for seven hours and not have a riot?
My guess is that who ever disabled the transponder, also disabled the pressurization system, and the auto dropping of masks system, everyone just passed out, used to happen in ww2 with the bomber crews.
Only flight and cabin crew would have access to oxy bottles.

Quote from an article on MH370
Quote"Military radar shows the missing jet climbed to 45,000ft and turned sharply to the west before descending unevenly to 23,000ft on the approach to Penang — on the western side of the Malaysian peninsula. It then climbed back to 35,000ft.
One theory is that this was a deliberate manoeuvre to knock out the passengers and crew.
One Boeing 777-200 pilot, who asked not to be named, said climbing above the plane’s service limit of 43,100ft with a depressurised cabin would have achieved that effect."

Cell phones
Family members were able to call the cell phones of some of the passengers who were on board MH370 for up to a couple of days after the "disappearance", and begged the authourities to trace the location of the cell phones before the batteries died.
Why didn't they ? Or if they did, why didn't they release any information of the outcome ?

Rudder problem
I think the rudder jammed full over and it caused it to fly in ever diminishing circles until it disappeared up its own arse, never to be seen again.
Seriously I doubt we will ever find any wreckage or the whole truth on what has happened to it.

As most of you know, I'm
As most of you know, I'm proof that retards can use a computer.
However, to disappoint the conspiracy theorists, I'm pretty sure that the Boeing 777 uses a brand of turbines known in the industry as LM's. I think its LM6000 or something. We have them at work. (Not the ammonia plant on the burrup that Daddymac wants blown up, the Oil and Gas one that Brucesta works at). Anyway, they are heaps of shit. Often failing with great expense and ithey are the reason that Qantas didn't buy any 777's, because they are prone to 'catastrophic failure'. Sucks when you are in the air! A few have already fallen out of the sky.
Anyway, It would be terrible to be a family member of one of the missing, so commiserations to them.

That's a load of shit Daisy.
That's a load of shit Daisy. Got proof that's the reason Qantas didn't buy them for that reason? 777's don't just fall out of the sky. Plane engines are tested to the enth degree. These planes have been in use since the early 90's and none have failed yet. The official consensus is still that there was human intervention in whatever happened to that plane. I have been following this very closely. Come on pal write some facts not heresay or workplace bullshit. BTW Boeing and Airbus both use Rolls Royce trent engines.

Pratt and Whitney, General
Pratt and Whitney, General Electric and rolls Royce are used in the 777's. They are the most efficient aircraft in their class. The GE type turbines have had issues in the past. Including ones at my workplace. It's not here-say bullshit mate, just what I've experienced personally with work.
Anyway, sounds like a loss of pressure or similar in the cabin, like the one previously mentioned over Greece. Heaps of conflicting reports coming out of different countries, but seems a bit strange that the planes 'id' or whatever it's called was possibly manually turned off.

I'd agree definitely with
I'd agree definitely with the cabin pressure loss, I'm pretty sure now a death flight like the Helios airlines flight as you say. Either hijacking gone wrong or pilot suicide I'm going for the hijack scenario. One thing's for sure we'll never find out what happened in that crucial stage as the cockpit recorders are only on a 30 min loop.

Well Just went to the airport as i work pretty close then took a drive down to where the US Navy P-8 Posiedon is . I parked up and went bushwalking right up to the fence and snapped a few shots. Somehow managed to get the photo's without getting in trouble. It looked so suss walking around the bush with the big DSLR and massive lens. I will post them as soon as i get home from work. Aparrently its a very high tech and interesting plane . May have to look into the P8's and learn a bit about them

I would bet my bottom dollars it IS very techno. Reading about it it certainly more capable than the FIFO 737-800 flying up and down WA.

I'm starting to have a few reservations as to whether it is in the Southern Ocean or not. It could easily be over the other side of the Indian Ocean, the fact that it continued south after making a 180 degree turn and heading is purely speculation.

Ha! When I was growing up in
Ha! When I was growing up in Derby, we would quite often have an 'excursion' to the airport to watch one of the weekly TAA flights land or take off. Funnily enough, when NZ Helicopters took a delivery of new choppers here in karratha a few years back, hundreds of people turned out to watch the plane that delivered it (huge thing, can't remember the breed) take off. The wind changed direction and the plane took off in the opposite direction and absolutely filled everyone in with dust and spinifex etc. quite amusing to watch as we drove past towing the boat home!

Malaysia and China. One
Malaysia and China.
One wants to find it and perhaps the other doesnt for whatever reason. Who knows which?
So many red herrings and "we found this" a long way from where they are supposed to be searching.
Either because they know something noone else does or to move the search away from the correct area?
Why is China searching 1000ks away from the designated area, and "heard a sonar pinger"?
If they have a towed array available on board that ship, why is it deployed so far from where "best available" info says it should be?
If they havent got one how would they hear the sonar pinger they reported which should only have a range of a mile (1800 meters)?
Did Angus Houston tell everyone else to search the designated area and the Chinese ship somewhere else at random?
You'd think not..., nor diplomatically would anyone publically question why?
