Never fished with them

I've never fished with them myself but you'll find no shortage of opinions about them on here, some good, some not so good. Best advice is to go out and enjoy your day on the water with them, hopefully pick up a good fish or two and make your own mind up.

Most people seem to have the mind set that you've paid your money so you expect to bag out. Doesn't happen most of the time and especially not metro but doesn't mean you can't still have a great day.

Went out with them two years

Went out with them two years ago and wasn't expecting anything special. Had my own gear but can't remember what they had. Long story short, fished deepish (120m) and was one fish off bagging out on demersals for the boat of 15 people. Mainly grey band and snapper. Was a really good day

When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:

n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or

n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.

i go out

with them once or twice a year.i`ve always found them good, you get brekky and lunch and i`ve always come home with a fish.

i went out a month ago and we were only fishing 40 odd metres west of two rocks and plenty of big snapper were caught.

as markj said, just go out and enjoy the day on the water and any fish is a bonus.the last few times i have been out the front of the boat

seemed to be getting more fish than the back.only thing i could think of was the bow was drifting over the lumps first.

Tim1511, where abouts are you fishing from? Perth? I cant say much about that charter... as I havent been from there and we are from Gero, Tash and Mark who run it are good friends of ours, weve been on a charter to the Abrohlos this year and did really well and have heard that all their trips since have been successful. Shaun the skipper is awesome and Paddy and young Callum the deckies are really good guys. Yeah it can get quiet conjested with the maximun number of people on board which is... 12... which is what we copped on the charter, my partner and I do alot with plastic etc... and it was hard going with all the rest fishing bait and we ended up fishing right off the back. We did get some fish, but most of the fish prefered the bait over plastics and jigs on the days which does happen. But I guess its what you make it, shit happens and sometimes your on fish and sometimes your not.

No suprise there, I went out twice, wont go again. Took my own tackle. Dont expect too much, didn't catch anything. we left at 6:30am and got back to shore before 3.

crew were friendly but not very knowledgable, My impression was that they did what they had to do (with a smile) but no more. My mistake; I was a total greenhorn and went out hoping to learn something, tried again a year later, then gave up.

If you know your stuff then go, If you are looking for advice, guidance or the personal touch , then find another charter. there are better (and smaller) ones available.

Just my 2c worth.
