Misleading Dept of Fisheries rules in Sunday times

Just a heads up to any folks that wish to fish out of kayaks ,,you might get a bum steer if you take literally what you read in todays Sunday times and end up with a fine and possible criminal conviction.
Page 78 * A boat fishing licence of $30 will be required for all individuals fishing from a boat anywhere in the state.
This is incorrect you also need one for any floating vessel including kayaks/canoes.
If the Fisheriers boffins don't know the difference meet me at the Cockburn ramps next week and i will show you some canoes and boats,,,you might be suprised at the differences in appearances.
I would hate to see our kids get hit with big fines,"So much for fish for the future"

Fishing Rules
These new proposed fishing rule changes have nothing to do with fish conservation, it is just a TAX GRAB by this very poorly run Liberal Government. Why are we, the Recreational boating sector being Double Taxed and only permitted to fish for these Demersal species for 10 months of the year and the Professionals can rape and pillage with their murdering nets through the "so called" peak spawning times of the 15th October to the 15th December. This is a f**king joke, conservation (bullshit) ,what a load of complete wank by Norman Moore and the clowns, Oh! sorry,the over payed scientists who did this very hasty and very inaccurate study. Conservation is, one out all out during the peak spawning period or are these fools just making a mockery of this so called attempt at saving this special fishery we have here in the West ??????? Shonky and Misleading TAX GRAB more like it !!!!!!
This last fishing season for most of my boating friends and myself proved to be the best season for these 5 so called vulnerable species for many a year so it would be nice if Norman Moore would release the information he and his so called experts have based their findings on.
As shorty's post states there are some misleading rules in this botched up and hastily drawn up attempt at revenue raising. In the early stages of this new policy there where 5 species on the agenda, sorry folks that number has blown out to approximately 30 plus species in the 2 months closure period, What is next????????
Even the cray-fisherman are challenging the wisdom and accuracies of the Scientific evidence put forward by Norman Moore his learned colleges, WHAT IS GOING ON ????????
The truth would be a start !!!!!
