Monkey Mia

Hi guys, heading up to Monkey Mia early May with the missus and my 6 year old twin boys will be taking 6m boat. never fished the area before and know the pinky ban will be on. Not looking for anyones marks or anything but just chasing a bit of direction off anyone who has fished the area before. Have had a bit of a look at the charts seems shallow threw most. Iam I best sounding the interesting looking contour lines that are on charts or best trying to find lumps in the flatter areas? Any advice would be greatly appreciated as kids don't really find it that much fun driving around trying to find lumps holding fish

We fished the first drop off

We fished the first drop off east of Faure Island, lots of medium snapper, cod and blacks. Didnt seem to be any ground so to speak, we were just doing long drifts and the fish kept coming. Seems you don't have to be ont op of hard lumps like you do in Perth, alot of fish can come from just drifting down a channel or a drop off. I'm sure the kids will be kept well busy. Good luck. I'll be there in may, can't wait
