Hi guys, headed up to monkey mia early August for the week going to take the boat up there. Fairly new to boat fishing and not chasing spots but if anyone can point me in the right direction it'd be greatly appreciated. How have people gone with boat parking we are in a cabin not sure if can park alongside. Have used the search function to death seems most people head out from denham. Thanks guys your a wealth of knowledge.

Head over to where the pearl
Head over to where the pearl farm used to be. We've done alright at times on pinkies and mulloway along with the occasional cod, fishing at night, but the sharks can get a bit much at times.

Parking
No Dramas with the boat parking, plenty of room to leave the boat hooked up to the car along the side of the cabins
Best to drift through the first and second channels
Black snapper and tuskys are common
Plenty of big shovels off the point, kids will have a ball

what dates
Hey mate what dates in early August? I will be there on the 4th.
if you look on navionics there are like trenches in the week area, fish the trenches for what the locals call up there black snapper but they are blue lined emperor I think. You will also get snapper and cod in the trenches
The seaweed is good for squid and take the drop nets for good blue swimmer crabs.
I go boating not fishing

Cheers guys really appreciate the replies, wasn’t real keen on leaving the boat in the ramp car park. Heading up on the 10th piggy. Can’t figure out how to upload a photo but the channels you guys are talking about are they just between the green sand bars on navionics basically north east from the ramp or down the other side of the island.

Sweet as, is there a few squid getting around up there at that time of year? Had a good session up at coral bay that time last year.
