Moonlit Bazzas

Hey Guys and Gals,
It's starting to warm up here so I thought I'd go up the creek with the main target being Blue Salmon but in the off chance a Barra or 2 might be lurking, got in before the low and trolled and casted small to medium hardbodies with plenty of success on small to middling Blues. I guess we would have got about 15 or 20 between us. We were way out the front in the gutter waiting for the tide to push up which it finally did around sun down as we got in I said to memate Brett that we'll troll in and out of the first stretch and then head off, We trolled downstream but were doing a bit over 3 knots with the current and it was on the way back I got hit, turned to see the Barra jump and got the jitters as I do with the first one every season . Landed her at about 85, back to the troll and got another around 78. managed to lose another boatside, Brett lost one on the first jump and then I lost another the sticks (thankfully hooks were barbless), it was perfectly calm and moon was well up, beautiful watching those Barras jump.
By about 8:30 it was time to pull the pin.
Cheers, Daisy

Yeah my earliest ones yet,
Yeah my earliest ones yet, temp in the creek was around 24 as the tide bottomed and came in at about 25.5 so it was up there on last last year, my earliest then was 31st August out of the freezer at 22.6. Happy Days.
