try the beach
try the beach north of town there is a reef that runs parallel to the the beach.or the left side of the groin for garfish and herring.

Ive been up there quite alot
Ive been up there quite alot lately and if you have a 4x4 go to the groin and then head up the beach to the large beach. lots of tailor up to 3kgs from 4pm on in the afternoon and again for a couple of hours in the morning but havent seen many mulloway yet up there this year. Use mullies as they seem to get the most consistent results. ( we also get good sized herring and small sand whiting on bait chasers )
