Did a dive back on the three mile this morning ,top viz up to 15m,ground was not the best but still bagged out on crays two boats 24 size ,seven size released and 7 undersize. ,had a 6-8 foot bronzy or bull shark cruise by not stoping ,just swam past minding his own biz ,stingrays everywhere 5foot across, some times up to six swimming with us .also had a dolphin come in close and check us out at the end of the dive ,stopped right along side us and just looked us up and down ,only 5m away, looking forward to tommorow.will concentrate on pics tommorow rather than crays i'll leave them to Jesse.

Lots of crays and rays
Hey Paul,
We must of been diving the same spot as you this morning out at the 3 mile west of Jindalee. We also saw a 6-8foot bronzy and heaps of rays.
Funny story about a monster ray, found ourselves a ledge full of crays. I thought I'd take my cray bag off my BCD to load up. Had 3 in me bag went back to the ledge when i turned to load the 4th to find a monster ray mounting my cray bag only 2 meters away. Had to poke it to get it to move on. It worked however the ray thought it'd be a good idea to take the cray bag with him. Lucky for us he dropped it for us to retrieve. Phew! All on camera too. Wayneo might post for all to see.
Excellent moring of diving.
One question. We both wear shark shields, i thought share shields also affected rays, however, there seemed to be no affect on the rays??
Would love to go again tomorrow.

Thats nothing, I was diving
Thats nothing, I was diving Tim's Thicket with Buz last season oand a damn ray parked on my back! I didn;t notice, but Buz mentioned being a little freaked by it.
If you had rays on you, surely it was malunctioning, or off.

They are a lot less common
They are a lot less common than they used to be. When I got my ticket in 89 we saw sharks every time we were in the water; river, mole, rotto.

Not to sure on the shark
Not to sure on the shark shield thing with rays.we don't were them ourselves I think if a shark has lined you up for a meal no shark shield will stop him from giving you a bite .anyways I caught up with wayne at the dive shop today when droping of the bottles for a refill ,he was telling me the tail ,sounds like you guys had a great dive to ,we will be out tommorow ,Alfred and till are coming up in the morning so look out crays .

nice bit of footage, they are such a gracefull creature, those little fish that swim with the ray seem to know when its turning as they all see to turn at the same time. at the end i presume you went after that cray thats why the vid ended

Yeah, that was Alfred and I
Yeah, that was Alfred and I on the other boat. We went down the anchor and South and the ground wasn't too good, just lots of small ones. I think Paul took you guys North? I heard it was better your way, probably the first double dive I didn't bag out on all season.
I did see a new nice fish down there, a really big baldy, a few smaller ones, few dhufish etc.
