Good effort!!
Well done Paul, that freezer would have to be looking alright now! Today and yesterday have been great days wind-wise,albeit always hard to judge from on land as it's a different world out there, but it looks good from your pics.

Not every trip is a good one
Not every trip is a good one ,but this time of year we do very well ,soon the dhuie will school up on the patches and then we get into some good fish .the fish are following the bait schools so find the bait and the odds are you'll find mr dhufish.

22 miles as the crow
22 miles as the crow flys.shit load of fish on the sounder but very quiet apart from the big dhuie ,I still think the fish are in the 30s close in .we only went wide because its no all ways that you get good condition for fishing out there.

Many crays in close up that way Paul? I'm thinking of getting in another dive before they get taken off us for a few months.
Have you tried plastics or jigs out there yet?

Might want to try something
Those stupid halco twistie jigs are justy maddening. Talk about trying to get on the bandwagon, they flutter all the way down so you can't drop them in more than 10-20m.
But that said, the knife jigs are probably a bit fast for demersals. You might want to try something with a bit more flutter than the knife jigs for demersals. Searocks or better, it doesn't have to be expensive.
Msg me when you have a spare slot & I'll bring a selection up =)

itching to see a decent dhu like that , surface beside the boat.
If I spent half as long fishing , as I do reading this bloody forum , I'd be twice the fisherman I am.

Nice one Jesse
Always good to catch a bigger fish than the skipper - especially when he is your dad.
