Not sure about all the talk on west coast salmon , or lack of
You blokes need to man up , and head south , were the men are drunk and the salmon are
nervous,, haha
Just had 3 great days east of Albany, the weather was good, the beachs superb and
the best salmon fishing you could imagine.
Mornings were best , but still got them at 3pm , 5pm etc
They took mulies , scalies , softys, and the girls had a ball.
Crystal clear gutters , 12year old girl, slow winded plastic, visual takes, and hard running
and fighting salmon, makes a dads heart warm.

I sense a down south mission
I sense a down south mission coming on...
When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:
n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or
n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.

I've just returned to Perth
I've just returned to Perth from the Hamelin Bay area. A few days ago one of the pros netted a school off the Hamelin beach about three tonnes of ~5kg fish...took them about two hours to load them into the crates. Then left them in the sun on the back of a truck...I guess cats don't mind.
None of the rec fishers got a look in, I'm afraid. There were about 15 - 20 of us lined up, but the whole lot went in the net.
Tried the rest of the week, including Redgate and a couple of others, but no go. Mind you, we weren't fishing all day as we had family things to do as well. Did try Hamelin at dawn, but the conditions weren't great by Monday. Word is from one of the pros that this weekend coming should be good.
