Moving rods Interstate

My time is up in W.A and moving back home to Brisbane.

Now the plan is to put all my rods and reels in the car and get the removalists to move the rest of the crap.

But if the rods cant fit in they will have to take them. I have bags for every rod and a plano airline case.

Was thinking of getting them wrapped in bubble wrap then the most expensive ones in the tube.

It is all insured but still not keen on them breaking my precious babies.

Anyone have any experience or tips?

Cheers Zac

I think the guys at FishingWA Protackle (site sponsor) had a special going on hard rod bags in different sizes. Might be worth investigating?

get a length of 100mm poly pipe

Get some end caps and a length of 100mm waste water pipe, cut to appropriate length, problem solved easily and cheaply. We do all our rod carting in these, put them in the boat and load stuff on top, no problem. Best if you leave at least some of the rods in their soft bags for cushioning.
