Nice one TJR. Can't complain about 3 for the season so far. I'm still on a big fat zero for mullas this year, probably help if I actually put in some time trying for one instead of throwing lures at reefs.

Your assuming a set of scales
Your assuming a set of scales was used. Maybe it's because near enough is good enough when it's not a certified set of scales or maybe TJR might have gone weight for length or maybe he just couldn't be stuffed typing the extra few hundred grams either way. It really doesn't matter, why can't you just congratulate the bloke on a good catch without being a jackass?

Ok it went just over 40 Lb on the scales which converts to 18.1436948 kilogram.

I left about a hour after I spoke to you on your way back in, no more were caught in that time. Wouldn't have suprised me if one of the usual suspects got one later on. I'll be out the end tonight going for a squid also, got to replenish the bait supply, see you out there mate.

That was on a uncalibrated
That was on a uncalibrated digital set straight out of the box I weighted it twice before hand on a mechanical set of scales that has been used a dozen times before. I don't trust cheap digital scales straight from the box made in China. I go with the scales I trust.
Edit : have had other guys who have come through the shop who also told me not to trust those type of cheap digital scales. Mechanical scales are the way to go so I have been told quite a few times.

I got two couple of months
I got two couple of months both at 7pm consecutive nights live bait. My mate just dropped into my house then he got one tonight at 8 right at end of jetty weighed 18kg some other guy caught one as well so thats two tonight
