Mulloway on Soft Plastics
Submitted by shorething on Sat, 2013-04-20 09:35
Hey guys,
have been out a number of times at the Swan landbased with plastics for the elusive Mulloway. No luck yet but always an enjoyable arvo/night regardless. Just interested to hear if anyone has caught one in the swan before on plastics and if so what type? Currently giving squidgy slick rigs 130mm in black gold a crack but interested to hear if anyone has found a particular colour/size remotely successful. I figure it's a time thing as much as anything but appreciate anyone who takes the time to throw any info this way!
Cheers

I like to use gulp placcies
I like to use gulp placcies for night fishing, the scent attracts anything to have a chew even when the placcy isnt moving. If not a glow one, put a glow bead on the leader infront of the jig head. Good luck on the quest, live bait is the go but one on a placcy would be epic!
I am, as I've said, merely competent. But in an age of incompetence, that makes me extraordinary.

yeah few people i have heard
yeah few people i have heard of that have got them some small some bigger but nothing over 15 kgs. I see big ones caught over east on placcys all the time. I think you just have to be in the right place at the right time, plastics are virtually a live bait if you work them properly
Good things come to those who bait
