Narrows get together
I popped down to the Narrows last night to catch with Original Teenager and Flangies to present their prizes for the junior landbased competition (unfortunately Flangies' flight back from Tassie was held up and he didn't make it). A few of the other young Fishwrecked members were down there (Son of Irish and fishorueb), along with Chan and his lady. I also ran into kaitan who was with a big group of his mates.
The youngsters were planning an allnighter to try and catch a big mulloway and they were well set-up when I arrived.
Unfortunately the blowies were swarming and really didn't give anything else a chance to grab the baits - though the guys did manage a couple of nice blue mannas.
I left about 11 pm so I don't know how that finished up - I dare say they are still sleeping it off.
Great to catch up with you all and good on you all for being such keen anglers - I hope the fish ended up playing along.
All the best, Colin Hay

It's great to see you young guys get right into your fishing! Don't know if I've got it in me to pull an all-nighter anymore. ;)

haha! I got credit again!
haha! I got credit again! Yea, last night sucked, but i must admit it was a beautiful night to be outdoors. For some reason, i dont see any of us returning to the narrows anytime soon lol. It was good to meet some of the guys, though colin did manage to shame us out with his gear lol. Aside from that, we spent the night sharing fishing stories and whatnot. Another outing will soon be organised by a few of us. Thinkin of hiring out a van and trailer and go for a nice lil land based fishing trip down to busso, probably after reub gets back from gero. We did manage to meet another keen angler named Hillary, i told him a bit about F.w. and he'll be joining us in no time. Im also taking him for a ray hunt tommorow. We'll be heading to north mole for his first time. I'll be also taking him past either oceanside or tackleshack to pick him up a new surf outfit, tackle and bait on the way. All in all, no fish over weekend but was a good night out. Nice meeting all of you and lets gets something to take home next time ffs lol.

Good onya guys
Reminds me of the allnighters we used to pull at the Belmont Racecourse side of Rivervale. Plenty of mullas there in the old days.
Cheers

yea it was a great night out
yea it was a great night out and the weather decided to play along aswell. we lost a coupla mannas to the net but they wernt big so it didnt matter. i got home at 10 yesterday after we loked around for lures, lead and line because of the low tide and we found out exactly were the channel runs after gettin a bit wet. you can wade all the way out to about 3/4 way to the first set of pylons waist deep and even less then it drops off. colin was right still sleepin it off until 7 this morning vso that makes it about 21 hours of sleep ;)
