The new boat
I should probably put this on the brag board because this is what I'm doing but I'm stoked in my new boat. Two years of procrastination and I finally made a choice in what my last boat will be and this is it. New Bar Crusher 670HT.
I've added heaps of options like anchor and cray winches, cray pot tipper, trim tabs and ballast flap etc.
The maiden voyage was last Saturday where I launched from Pt Peron to Rotto then Fremantle, coogee, Cockburn Sound and back to the ramp. loved it. The 200 Suzuki was a beast.
I will add that my maiden voyage was almost like the titanics when I forgot about the kill tank bung and had some water come in but the bilge pump sorted that out. I put it down to a thorough test of its abilities. The girlfriend puts it down to me being an idiot..
Anyway, time for some serious boating and fishing. I'll be launching around the Rokko, Safety Bay area so say G'day when you see me.
Cheers JJ

had it airborne
Had it airborne a couple of times on the way to Rotto which had the sphincter cramping up. I filled the ballast up and locked the water in and it settled heaps when launching over the swell. a few more times out and I should be more comfortable with what I'm doing but I'm very happy with my choice so far. Good Choice
I'm biased of course but good choice and many years of happy boating. My suggestion at first though would be slow as you go!!

Press Studs
Oh, one more thing. Those press studs on the side rust up pretty quick. You need to keep them greased up.

already been struggling with getting some on. I'm hoping it will be easier when the cover free's up a bit. Thanks for the advice and I'll get some grease on to them asap. Cheers Peko.

Awesome rig
Awesome rig mate. Might I suggest Lanox instead of grease. Not so dirty and wont harm anything, plus it stays on for quite a while before reapplying

still running it in obviously
still running it in obviously but had a quick spurt up to 30 knots. I was playing with trim/tilt and trim tabs to find a sweet spot and it was at 30 knotts pretty quickly. I'm pretty happy about upgrading to the 200 Four cylinder four stroke.
