New ground

Hi all
Headed out to a likely looking spot that I found during a search of my charts. Set off early and as I approached the marked area, the sounder was showing me some nice underwater formations. Sounded around for a while and managed to take these few pics before a bout of suspected food poisoning started kicking in which flattened me and forced me to abandon this spot and head for home.
Will be out there again real soon, hopefully next weekend.
All I'll say is that I headed out from the Cut

Dawesville cut
The Dawesville Cut is approx. 14kms south of Mandurah and is the southern entry point into the Peel Estuary. From the Cut you can head back to Mandurah (by boat) along the estuary, go south into the Harvey estuary or head east and go up the Murray or Serpentine rivers.
There's a boat ramp along the Dawesville foreshore, another at the Bouvard Marina (fees apply) or a smaller ramp further south at Parkridge...but that one is better suited to smaller boats, though.

Chart speed
Hi JDI
That's one of the settings I've been playing around with....usually run it at 1/1. What's your preference for chart speed or is it something that's depth dependant?
Thanks for the offer to check out the spot for me Subaquatic; very generous of you, but I'll take one for the team and head back out there myself for another look around and see what's lurking below.

Shhhhhh.....
Hi Blake
It's not a secret spot (as it shows up on the charts) but if it produces sambos in winter, let's hope it produces a dhuie or two for me during summer
