New interim boat.

Needed a little bus to get me out on the water whilst I sort my shit out regarding getting the big duck to Thursday Island. Here she is....... A little 4.2m Stessco. Puuurfect for doing some close to town Island hopping and fish catching. Just have to wait for her to arrive on the barge from Seisia early next week.

What size foil did you put on it? Also what sort of fuel burn do you get?. The guy who sold it to me said a little over a mile to the litre.

I suppose the joy of a dingy is fanging around everywhere flat out!. The waters pretty glassy up here at the moment being wet season and all, mileage should be pretty damn good. May as well make the most of cheap boating until the big duck gets up here!.

I got the se200 it does

I got the se200 it does cause some water to splash back on the motor but I am happy with the improvement in handling. I think you will get even better mileage than that I'm pretty sure I get about 60kms to a 24l tank driving flat out

Thanks for that one. I've got two 24 litre tanks so that should be more than adequate for me. Initially I'm working on a ten mile radius from the boat ramp, that gives me a massive area to go and explore. Best thing is hopping from one island to another, closest one is .4nm away and Mackie trolling is about the same distance.......:D

 Sounds like great fun see

Sounds like great fun you will be able to get to the islands a lot easier with the smaller boat. See how your boat handles but I know with mine even with putting the second tank up the front and a bucket of water it didn't make much difference.

I'm pretty sure I'd get beaten to a pulp for that one up here.....  Seems to be rugby is the only game to be supported up here. Stickers coming off is first on my to do list when she gets here. I reckon the fuel consumption will be a lot better minus all of that weight!.
