had an invite out with riles, (top bloke)
mission was to tune in the sounder and head deep,
well we had good readings in the 200+m
no cod this trip but we managed some nice big nannys and pinks,
we thought we may have had a bomb fish but turned out to be a shark in the end,
great day, cant wait to our next trip

Rods and reels
Hi Harro, what rods and electric reels are you using . I'm considering buying a Tanacom Standard and a suitable rod but not interested in the bent butt types.

hey snapper
i use the megatwin reel mate, has served me well and been reliable, it has landed some big fish, i like the fact it has 2 gears, and under heavy load it switches to a lower gear,
the rod i use is the fallings special jigging master, absolute quality rod, not cheap though, think i paid around $800
not to sure what reel shayne had but at one point during heavy load we could smell the elctrics burning hahaha, was a large bronzie ,
