night time salmon

Went to south beach with a mate and hooked and landed a big salmon after dark on a herring frame,The original plan was to go to kwinana jetty and work back via the ammo jetty to see if we could find the salmon.My mate just wished to go to the beach between the groynes.I have never heard of salmon being taken at night.He hooked up a few moments later on a lump of octopus but the hook pulled.Has anyone caught them at night

One last year in Busselton
One last year in Busselton at about 10pm, took no line, felt like a lump of weed in close - I think it was crook and was on its way out though. I haven't caught anymore after dark personally.

Session they definitely fight differently one kept jumping into the side of the boat

Yeah catch plenty at night time soaking baits. Become a pain the ass. People come past and say oh that's great you are catching Salmon, the look on their faces when I tell them that I wish we weren't and would be greatful if they'd leave our baits alone.
