NOR v SOR Swan Fish Location??????
Submitted by Andy Mac on Tue, 2007-07-31 19:53
OK Guys, we have had a couple of suggestions for the Swan fish section of the NOR v SOR comp. Whilst we are still working out how we will run the fishing comp part of things, the main idea is for it to be an opportunity for the shore based guys to join in and meet a few of the boaties and for us all to have a chance to catch up for a beer and a bbq. (Perhaps a belated 2nd birthday celebration for fishwrecked)
So the question is.........
Where should we do it? Burswood/South Perth/Rivervale??????
Give us some ideas as to where we can fish and gather for a bbq.
The champion angler trophy will be engraved and presented on the day and we will hopefully put on a few beverages etc with some of the left over prize money from the NOR comp and still have enough for some prizes on the day for the shore based guys. I am thinking $5 per angler to fish in the shore based comp (to make sure we have some prize money to give out) but we will make it totally catch and release (but nothing stopping you taking home a feed if that is what you want to do) and totally land based. Spouses and children welcome (need someone to drive you home after a skin full

Any location is fine with me..........me and sherbert will get his young bloke to drive us!lol. Around the burswood would be good i thinkandy as its pretty central to all, well most of us. As long as the beer is cold and the snaggers hot we'll be right.
PS: How fars your place ryan? hehehehe

Burswood Good
Plenty of places to fish around Burswwod within walking distance, start early Sunday and finish lunch time. 2 big under cover gazebos there with bbq's, loos and a heap of parking aswell. Plenty of talent cycling past (if the sun is out). Play ground for the rug rats too.

Only downside, is that it can be busy there, when the weather is good. Would have to have someone there all morning to reserve a gazebo, if that is what is wanted. Dump some gear and fish the bank 50 metres away, so could be done.
Don't pic last week of August and into September, as Ryan won't be home to open the door, if we decide to crash his place
Cheers Pete
