octapus for mulloway?

i have got heaps of occy in the freezer and i was wandering if using occy tenticles as mulloway bait would work
any sudjestions?

but from what i hear i reckon live bait is the best way on catching them.
throw some occy out, you could get lucky

Imo... no for octopus and catching Mulloway, squid is far more successful. Occy is just good for when there are a lot of pickers.

Mate I caught a few and never seen one caught on occy. Probably be good for the snappers off the wall in the storms though I've always been told to cut the suckers off when usein the legs

For occy on Mulloway, Not that they would not snaffle it with the right presentation or very hungry maybe. I have seen a few Sand Whiting in a few but....

I have never got one from the beach or stones with occy but have caught heaps out in the boat on occy

Yeah Ive caught Mulloway on Occy as well, But its an inferior bait, you will catch a lot more on Squid or other alternatives.
