Old fish box put to use
Submitted by grantarctic1 on Mon, 2011-03-14 21:30
6 month ago i was given an old fish box 160 lt. I wasn't sure what to do with it but ideas soon came to me and one sunday i made these rod holders.
They slip under the edje of the box and the weight of the esky holds them down.
I placed a tag to go under the handle to lock it all in place
Made one set for each side and hey presto, beach box with room for 8 rods.
Made sure it would fit to my trailer that i rebuilt for Steep point.
Finished product all set with some gear for the trip.
When i got back i added a bilge pump, battery and solar panel to keep live bait while beach fishing.
The only problem is every time i go to use it my mates have their rod's loaded in the racks. LOL

Faulkner family, it is a good use of space. On the way home from a trip i usualy put all the rubbish bags in there.
If not fingers crossed, it's full of fillets.LOL
