Hi Guys,
Just wanted some opinions and suggestions on some overheads. Budget is around $250-500. I like the trinidad, dose anyone know what they are like?
Cheers, Charlie.

Have u looked at the TLD I have a 30 2 speed, it has copped a hiding and still runs smooth like the day I bought it.
affordable too. The reason I bought it was because I didn't like the full metal reel, I can b hard on my gear at times and once the metal starts to scratch they look shit
Go big or go home..

reels
Hey Charlie
To do what with?
The reel will depend on the use.
star or lever drag?
casting from shore, jigging, bottom bashing or trolling?
Shimano make good reels
Talica
Trinidad
Torium
Torsa
Diawa have some goodies to
Saltist
Saltiga
Then if you are live baiting for big sharks
theres:
Penn 16
Diawa 910 (with upgraded drag)
Shimano Tiagra

Hi psion
Hi guys, i need it for bottom bashing. I am thinking of gettin a fin nor rod (about 80lb & 6") and pairing it with a trinidad a series.

Nice reel
Trinadad is a nice reel if it fits in your budget.
but the penn squall, TLD, Saltist, BG35 or Torsa will do the job just as well.

Go the saltist
Go the saltist mate you won't look back. They've got such a good retrieval ratio and drag pressure for bottom bashing and there super light you can fish all day with them and your arm won't drop off. I've had mine for about 4 maybe 5 years it's still going strong

Agree...saltists are a great
Agree...saltists are a great reel for price with regards to quality and specs (ratio and drag). They last decades, not years. Worthwhile investment at that price range.
