PB KGW - straight hook
Submitted by Notorious on Sun, 2015-12-20 20:16
First freedive in over 1 month - conditions were average with the wind not coming below 15-20 knots for most of the morning. No sounder on board so decided to try find new ground. Came accross some ok looking bombies and decided to jump in for a look. Viz was average to poor, some 6m, but managed a few fish and a PB KGW, 1.2kgs and 57cm long.

KGW are hard to shoot because
KGW are hard to shoot because of their long and slender size and they often shake the spear if lucky enough to hit them. But I thought this fish was a dusky morwong and ignored it during the dive, until it turned side on and started to swim away. I took aim and the spear entered its side and exited through the mouth, shishkebab style.
