Foxies are relatively good

Foxies are relatively good eating, but they are a very long lived and slow growing fish, meaining they are particularly vunerable to overfishing. They live longer than dhuies, snapper, breakseas, and basically every other recreationally targetted fish in WA.

They only reach a max size of around 48cm, and a fish this age can be as old as 80 years.
