Squid from Last weekend.
Some big squid in the sound and behind the islands.
Like Little Johnny said now is the best time to catch some big once.

That's a huge squid- I've always wondered about the eating quality of bigger squid.
Are they tougher? Or do you just cut the the tube into smaller/thinner slices for cooking?
My Dad taught me how to Fish-Thanks Dad.(RIP)

Moking, yes the bigger squid are slightly tougher than your medium sized once, but with correct cooking techniques they taste pretty much the same.
Also squid don't have a long life span, the squid in the photo is probably 12-18 months old anyway so its not too bad.
