i dunno if any of the shops stock it up there but the most mommon one on on the shelf is daiwa sensor 8 braid (colour coded) but as with most PE's, pricy but if you get the chance to have a play with its worth it , you can feel the differance
When it comes to jigging and casting lines, I've found I can generally count on the numbers to correspond to the number times 10, as in PE3号 = 30 lb test. There is some variance between brands, but I've never seen it to be more than a few pounds more. If there is a particulat brand you want the specific pound tests for feel free to drop me a line and I'll look into it for you. I agree that an 8 braid is the stuff to use. Daiwa's is pricey so I use a few less known brands that do just as good a job. What are the most popular brands right now in Australia?
I have heard a new one is out or comming out called Hurculine multi coloured braid , might be something to look at as they recon it will be near half the price of other braids ????
Just hearsay from me tho .
I heard 300m of 30 lb would be around 30 to 40 bucks .
The new Sufix Herculine is a nice looking line, very smooth and brightly coloured. Not sure about the prices but probably not half the price of other PE colored lines.

not sure of the price, but i heard its cheap. I wouldnt think 30-40 bucks tho, because the normal matrix pro is 45-60 bucks a spool. Id imagine multi colored would be a more if anything.
Line systems FROG braid is another line of PE Distributed through river2sea def. worth a look ive used the 40lb and i think its awsome, Im sure PE of any description on the Aus market is still going to be fairly pricy but you do get what you pay for

PE braid
The Japs measure in PE not pounds . PE is more on the dia of the line not the breaking strain .
Well thats what I have found in my short time working with the stuff.
I'm sure a more knowledgable person will correct me .

You're looking at well over
You're looking at well over 300 meters of braid and most spools of braid start at around $60 for 300 yards.
I'm sure someone else can give you a better indication.

Got to agree Nealez. I like and use the LineSystems Bass Hard braid. Really easy to see orange colour and great to cast.
