Perth to Lano

I took a drive up to Lancelin yesterday and stopped into all the towns along the coast on the way up to see if it looked "fishy".
Finally got to see the mouth of the Moore River and Ledge Point.
Walking along the beach with the kids at Lano, I was suprised to see so many squid skeletons. There were more there then any of the other beaches. The place was covered in them and I can only imagine that the squid fishing from the small jetty here must be great! Anyone try squidding there?
Anyone try squidding at Two Rocks?
How is the land based fishing at any of these areas?

Yeh!
Yeh cuttlebones!
As for Tworocks, you can 4wd north of that area towards Moore River and the beach/reef fishing is good, one of my fav L/B spots!

The surfboard type
The surfboard type cuttlefish and the semi clear almost plastic like (not surfboard shape) center squid bone ? Cartilage? You only see these if it was recently dead.

Most squids only live for a year and die after mating, so I wonder if that has anything to do with it? (not sure what time they mate). Though, the continuous bad weather and rough seas we've had for a while could explain it as well?
