Pilgramunna launching

 Hey fw crew

looking at different options to launching my tub up at Exmouth. Question is has anyone seen or ever tried to launch a 7.5m ally boat at pilgramunna?

most reports say smaller vessels is not a problem, but haven't seen many reports of larger boats.

Thanks in advanced

You will be swimming your car with a boat that size at pilgs, esp for retrieve. Not worth the effort, just go tantas and if your worried about fuel, take an extra jerry which will cover the distance you used for saving your car.

A few crew in town launch

Tue, 2016-04-05 14:25

A few crew in town launch there big boats there.  Pretty funny watching exhausts blowing bubbles putting there boats in and out. It is a pretty flat shelf so they have to basically reverse till the boat floats off the trailer.  If youve got an old patrol or cruiser Ok but not a new car. I cringed seeing a pretty new cruiser put a big boat in  recently, the water was half way up the doors when the little surging waves came through the bay.   You can launch pretty easy at yardie at the moment but you will only get through the entrance at the top of the tide.  Going accross the creek and launching boat harbour is out of the question. Its very questionable even driving accross it on the lowest of tides.  Where you usually drive accross is about 3m deep on low tide and cant see it changing any time in the next few years.

Was there 12 months back. Campsite bombed. Many ruts gutters etc on track and launch area. Was a favorite spot for many. You could go for a look and check it out if things have changed but a few crew i know who live in exy say campsite still out of use

Campsite is totally trashed

Campsite is totally trashed and I think it is never to be reopened. Launching my tinny 4.7m is pretty easy. Its only on mid tides thats its hard. High and low its real easy.
