pirating again

hey all

Well after using the daiwa pirates the other day with great success i was keen as mustad to get out and give them another go, This time the plan for the day was to anchor and burley in the morning for some yellowtail kings then head out to some lumps behind rotto for some pirating and maybe even hit up the amberjack that are hanging around some of my spots. So first off after burlying for a hour all that came up was a nice sized pinkie that the lurcha caught on a drifted mulie. we then decided to head out and hit some lumps not to far away, down with the pirate and first drop up came a nice sized dhuie, we mucked around catching some blackass and smaller dhuies on the pirates then decided to get some ambers, they were quite fussy at first only taking the pirate and better quality jigs, it wasnt untill later in the arvo that they seem to turn on and ended up smacking anything that went down. It was great weather out on the water all day and we didnt get back in till about 5. Hoping to hit two rocks up this week with the pirates again before the ban comes in

Great catch guys, Luke do you find the pirate jigs have a very fast action? I have a submarine made by tecnik the same ppl that do fanky jigs and it doesnt have a slow/flutter action. is it the same with daiwa jigs?
