Planning Kalbarri Trip

Hi All,
Planning a Kalbarri trip for 4 nights around mid August. Deciding between towing up my 4.2 dinghy or stick to land based. Never being there before, was hoping to get some advice on places to go (boat or land), species to target etc.
Heading up with fam and kids along with some friends, so looking for accomodation options aswell. Keen to camp, just would need to be a park with shower facilities for the wife n kids.
Thanks!

Well worth taking the boat
Well worth taking the boat for the river. Maybe a chance at some crabs and some good fishing to be had in the river for bream, mulloway and tailor. May be a bit cold now for jacks and cod but always in for a chance I guess.

Wasnt aware of mud crabs up that way. I take it same methos as drop pots for blue mannas?
Best to head further up river, or closer to the mouth?

Mud crabs and also lots of
Mud crabs and also lots of Blue Mannas. Yeah crab nets are the go. Don't know if this is a good time of year for them but always worth a shot. Probably best to try as many spots as possible. If there's been rain id try down river, if not up river would be a good option.
