Plug to suit

Chasing a plug to go into the 12v outlet on my outboard for plugging into to charge the battery. As you can see, it's a 2 pin, combination male/female, like a mini Anderson plug. If anyone has one kicking around they don't want or know where I can get one please let us know.

12 Volt Shop

You may be able to get one from the 12 Volt Shop in Welshpool. Its on Kewdale road

They have all sorts of gear there and if they dont have one to suit they would have the parts on the shelf and you could make one up.

Also they are usally happy to give out advice on making your own.

Terminals actually only look to be standard 6.3 mm spade connectors one male one female just need to find something that would be suitable for a cover

Spade terminals will corrode in no time.

In that position. Surely there is an OEM plug which is probably waterproof--go back to where you bough the motor and ask them.

Yeah, thanks guys, normal spade lugs do fit but as ranmar has said, they will corrode in no time. 12 volt shop might have something, I'll check them out. To get the proper one, Yamaha only want to supply their rectifier for about $140 which is the plug I need plus everything else. I've already got the rectifier and all the wiring for a whole lot cheaper, just need that plug. But as I said, it's not hard to hook up to the wiring inside, it just leaves a cable coming out from the motor.

you may be able to remove

you may be able to remove that plug and then fit a cable gland and run the cable through it that would. would be alot better seal and one less corrosion point. but a bit harder to remove etc.
