Popping for Whiting at night

Anybody tried or had any luck with poppers at night?

found plenty of big specimens in the river so I will try anyway but just after some thoughts

with catches of good yellow fin during day hours in the swan, poppers / small hard bodies but night time would be a great catch for sure.

i hope youre not talking about wading?

with the amount of rays that have snuck up on me in the estuary during the day i would have a multiple corinary if something brushed my leg during the night.

last week a mate got knocked over by a big black ray the size of a table. piss funny afterwards but what if it was a bull? we were only thigh deep. It could obviously smell the fish we had caught as it kept at us for about half an hour.

yak or shore based i'd be very interested in how you went.

It is light where I am and less than knee deep so hopefully no big uns cant sneak up, reminds me of a pant wetting moment fish a thigh deep reef during the day and having a ray charge me with tail up. All I could see was this long thin tail coming straight at me! Never bolted so fast across a reef filled with deep holes.

let you all know if I get out but weather pretty poor at the moment
