Pretty Quiet on the Pilbara Front

Weather was finally looking a bit better over the weekend so headed out from Hedland to throw some plastics around. Ran about 15k out in pretty good conditions but the fish just werent playing the game. Threw a few different plastic, metals and Octa style jigs for nothing of real note. Think the score would have been around a dozen little Trout, 20 baby cod and a couple of Rankin. Ground looked pretty good and there was fish showing on the sounder.

Picked up a couple of Brassys on the way home from a school of Tuna busting up bait. Just popped up in front of us so threw what we had rigged at them. Good to see Brad getting his surf rod in on the action. Sure got a few looks when he popped a pylon that had a couple of guys fishing near it. Those things sure shift some water.

yeah "pretty quiet" is still better than "fairly loud" down here :P Always good to get a few fish, even if they aren't anything special.

That the longboat style rig

That the longboat style rig with the yammie? We retrieved side by side. Can't believe how long it takes some people to get their rig out. Even if they were a put scared of the fisheries blokes.
