Hey Garbo! you caught your PB Queenie today and it's taken you some time to catch a decent fish on my boat! But for a shore fisherman that I've converted to boat fishing, you're dong fine!
Great capture mate, and you played it beautifully.

Queen Snapper
Nice fish.If you want to go for Queenies the place to go at this time of the year is at the back [western side]of the Coral lumps off Cape Naturaliste around the time of the full moons in February. They gather there to spawn each year, all sizes from little to huge.

Great Fish
Sure are a pretty fish, caught plenty down here. As said, they fight well for sure. As Russ said, cut off the red flesh and I find they benefit from bleeding as well as the std IJ and slurry.

Its only the second time i have fished down there so dont really know anything about the ground out there, i just jump in the boat with Bluetonic and where ever he stops is where i fish ha ha ha ha im still pretty new to all this boat fishing but im always learning and have gotten heaps better and fish like that certainly helps my skills improve quicker

Taste
Tried one tonight, tasted similar to tailor to me. Was OK, most the others prefered the foxfish though.

Red up north, blue south
Magic blues in that, when you see pics like Jay's little red and then you see the blues of the queen snapper, we are pretty priveledged to live in WA.
