Headed out this arvo to the 3 mile for a quick anchor and burley session. It was a good litle session with action the whole time. Managed to boat a dhuie first drop and a nice size breaksea the next. Over the next hour i caugh another 2 smaller breaksea and 7 undersize pink snapper, then the sun began to set so i headed in. Everything was caught on a calcata 200b and a berkly dropshot 4-6kg rod so was a bit sporting and plenty of fun. sorry about the photos, i was by myself and only had my phone camera. cheers

Sorry mate,
Sorry man, wrong Paul, Thought it was that bloody Paul G who could catch a bloody dhufish in a bathtub. By all accounts you did well catching some good fish on a crap moon phase. How do you normally go fishing on any moon phase?

Why do you guys call the 3
Why do you guys call the 3 mile. On the chart marked 3 mile breaking reef north of hilarys or the whole stretch bewteen the south maker and staggies??

Yeah its been one of my best sessions in perth thats for sure, i caught more fish in that hour and a half then i did in a recent 3 day trip in kalbarri lol, but thats fishing!
STEVE- This is the 1st time ive fished when it hasnt been a rising tide, so far so good haha, will have to do a bit more experimenting i think.
MEJUTTY- I think when people say the "3 mile" they mean the whole stretch of reef, thats what i mean anyway so i dont get to specific and give away my limited amount of good spots.

thanks guys
Yeah the 3 mile has been great this year, thats my 5th dhuie off the 3 mile since january, most have been just under size though. Yeah its great to get out urself sometimes, the only problem with that though is that it is alot harder to convince ur mates how good it was out there haha.
