quick report
So after sitting in the house all day sweating looked out the window around 4.30pm and saw the wind had gone right round back to the east. I smelt fish in the air. Quick packup n over to frustrations by 6.30pm. Tailor were pests as usual but third cast got swallowed by a nice mulla. Had a bit of a chuckle while bringing it in as there was no one round and it was perfect conditions. Moon was just coming to above so knew it was going to be a great night. Couple more pesky tailor then off goes the line again. Second mulla on the 7th cast. Bit more of a laugh. Packed up and was home by 8.30! sorry no photos. phone has packed it in. One went est 10kg and the other est 4kg. Could have stayed to do some catch and release but got my two and back home. these conditions are perfect atm. Been some macks caught down at wagoe, Ted from wagoe got a nice tuna on a balloon and then dropped a line over the reef and pulled in a nice mulla. The whites are about to take off here with easterlies all week and no swell they are about to fire up! anyway just a quick report hopefully back over tmw for another fish!

Sucks to be you Tangles......Iv fished across the mouth only once and the swell was crankin! Can imagine how good a summers arvo with no swell or wind would.be like esp if youre pullin good fish like.that. Do ya get macks.balloonin of the beaches there?

maybe jayden. there might be a possy running kalbarri sandboarding when i get my tours going.
yeah certain spots up the beaches you get the macks coming in close. will prob do ballooning as part of the tours when weather permits. you can go down to red bluff n balloon n get into the macks and when the tuna are busting up you get into them. also casting 85grm raiders from the back of jakes pt you get into them as well.
Out of all the fish mullas and pinks are def my favourite cathes off the beaches.

i trawled up the red bluff
i trawled up the red bluff and back and picked up a mack on saturday morning after pulling the pots, still another week or so water temps only 22 degrees out there.

boys got em today up the second sandpatch gona try early tmw morning up there for a quick troll. yeah out to the 10fthm just north of jakes then back in behind jakes then to tedbluff off the back point is always a great spot for them. they hang off the back there where the reef drops off onto the sand.

Yeah i picked mine up in 22m zing zagging along the reef straight off whitticarra heading back past jakes.
I'll get out next week again and hopefully every day over chrissy haha, bloody work always gets in the way of the fishing, but no doubt the missus will have some yard work or something lined up for me hahaha.
You heard if the whites have run yet??

yeah slowly starting now. youll see from the pots out back of the bluff and out in the 10fthm off jakes n up to blue holes. i think the better spots are up past the mouth north round a place called the nursery out in 8fthm. once they start moving from there you can just keep on top of them until you start getting them up at the golden mile
