Good feed well done , do you always fillet them ? .. I prefer them on the bone except on the odd occasion when I've smoked them .. got me drooling yummo

Fillets
I know I always fillet mine, what do you do? Butterfly them? Curious to hear what others do. I fillet, dip in milk, seasoned flour, then in the pan with butter & oil. Yummo.

just plain for me BD ... on
just plain for me BD ... on the bone in some seasoned flour and fried up .. fillet just lifts off the frame with no wastage at all ..

Herring do have a strong taste but nice and i always fillet and usually in breadcrumbs

nice work mate good feed and a few baits filleted for me rap them in foil buter salt pepper garlic and parsely top for breaky after a mornin sesh

Nice feed mate . I always fillet and skin them, then breadcrumb and pan fried. Also all the frames and heads go into the mincer for burley .
