Quinns Beach

Went down to quinns on sat night got there about 5 set up heaps of weed but stuck it out anyway. It started off really quiet but about an hour before sundown got a tailor about 35cm. so i thought good the run is on and i get a feed but that was the only one and no bites after that either devo lol. i had i big rod set up with a yellow tail on the end because i really wanted a mulla. About 15mins before last light it took off and i never got a chance to turn it and it pinged. so i rigged back up and back out it went. about 2 hrs later my mates rod got ripped out the rod holder and got dragged down the beach when he finally got to it he was in for a hell of a fight, about 20 mins later a massive ray came up at least 25kg this thing was over a meter across good fun but still no mulla. After that it was very quiet and the weed was getting the better of us. so i decided to use the tailor for fresh bait as i only had one anyway lol.
first cast and i was on and i had to admit i was very hopefull this time. i have caught plenty of stingrays an this did not feel the same so i was really excited. after about 10mins i got it gaft an on the beach it was a gummy shark it went about 150cm and gutted, head, fins and tail cut off it wieghed 5kg.
After that it was about midnight and the weed had really moved in so we decided to call it a night. This was my first time at quinns and it was well worth the trip as i live south of the river. This will be a place i visit again very soon.
BUT the hunt continues for my first mulla lol

ps sorry i forgot the camara spewing
