Ok, so the sweeps have started around the office, the talk and hype of which horse will prevail the 3200 metre race.
What is everyones pick???
Im picking Shocking to push hard along with alcopop. Both run well over the 2400m distance...
There is also Viewed the Favourite, but as the old saying goes..the favourite never wins!!
Whats everyone elses pick?

Alcopop will be a popular pick no doubt ................. cant wait for the first lot of Powerpoint presentations to start doing the e-mail circuit showing the after effects of the day at the races.

I'm have a $20 each way on
I'm having $20 each way on Changingoftheguard, Glenn Boss is on him and always rides a winner in these big races from time to time, and it only got about 50kg so it's a good light weight chance.
Cheers

had $20 on Shocking to win
and I missed the trifecta with Cest La Geurre missing a placing. Could have turned a great day into a phenomenal one.

picked up about 2k on a trifecta bet, she went with my Shocking & crime scene and then picked the third herself.

she must have bet like 50 cents or something
The trifecta was paying $4000+ to $1

I'm pretty sure
the trifecta payed out ~$8,000, so she must have had a bet with .25 units for $2k. I know, I was one horse off and cursing it, damn Cest La Guerre running eigth...........
Either that or she had a boxed trifecta and only bet X amount that equated to a 0.25 share.

Yeh the mystery bet thing is
well a mystery to me.. She has never bet on horses and had to be shown how to do whatever she did, needless to say she is wrapped. The other alternative is she didnt do a trifecta, although she said she did. Im spewing , because my $150 outlay was meant to go on a quinella for Shocking and Crimes Scene, didnt get done that way, hey but im wrapped with what i picked up. Might have to start studying the gee gees.
By the way do you know how to spell hungry horses in 4 letters?

Bet
With my luck if I had bet on the winner he wouldn't have run a place and all of those lucky winners would be still crying in their beers.
