Real to match Shimano

After advise on real to match a Shimano Gold 15-24 SU-RT rod..
main fishing is bottom bashing or trolling...
Budget under 450 dollars..
Not sure what this rods main purpose is as it was given to me..
Unsure whether to put a 2 speed tld 30 or similar with 4- 50- lb braid
or
to go a spin real.
Currently have a a tld 25 and 50 a shimano baitrunner 6500b and another cheaper serate i think spin real... and a pen senator (35 years old but as good as the day it was bought) These reals are already matched to boat rods.
Is this rod suitable for jigging? for demersals and the likes etc.. and if so what sort of real is best...
Thanks

The rod you've got is a trolling/bottom bashing rod. Not really suitable for jigging, neither is the TLD 30 you suggested. No problem running a TLD30 on it.
Have you purchased the rod yet?? If not, mayby look at a 24kg jigging rod and running a smaller reel with 50lb braid. Sounds like you already have a similar outfit with the TLD25.

The rod is a hand me down
and already have it.. Might just go with a tld for bottom bashing then..
What sort of money would it cost for a satarting jigging outfit... suitable for dewies, sambos etc...

Most of the cost will be in the reel, which is most probably around $300-$400. Rod can be had as little as $130.
If possible work on a budget of $500 to $600.
