lol, I should have mentioned that I don't want to spend $700 bucks on a rod of this nature.

Hoping to get something of great quality well under $300.

 Daiwa lateo pirates are

Mon, 2013-02-18 17:15

Daiwa lateo pirates are great for 11ft but I mostly use 7ft for throwing lures and have a Simmons sds802 that is amazing and rated to cast much more and run up to 30lb but is very soft and flexes very well with 20lb and 30-60g lures I normaly throw

Have a look at the 9ft 8-15lb

Mon, 2013-02-18 17:49

Have a look at the 9ft 8-15lb Samaki Allure (Allure SA-902SM) if you like to fish light, the 10ft 12-25lb Samaki Allure (Allure SA-1002SH) if you want to go a bit heavier. Both perform as well as rods twice the price but come in under $150ea. The Starlo Classix 902 Shorespin (9ft 8-15kg) is also a very good rod for around the $100 mark.

 tcurve coastal series....

tcurve coastal series.... based on the old tarelejo blanks..... 9' with 4000 stradic and 20lb.... you wont be disaappointed and only $200... lures 15-50 and line 6-10kg... or if you step up to 10' model then lure weight  is 30-75 and line 8-15kg

Daiwa Seajigger

Thu, 2013-02-21 11:32

Check out the Seajigger 315........ Matched to a 3000-4000 size Daiwa reel it makes for an awesome combo. Reasonably priced to at around $250.

Casting distance from this thing with a 20-50 gram lure is awesome.

the Daiwa Sensor Surf is a great range of rods too.

I've had a 10ft version for a year and can't fault it, casts lures in the 20-75g range a mile
