Caught a few of these one night and they go pretty hard. Wicked teeth on them.

Chinamen and red bass aren't affected by ciguatera in WA only over east, something to do with the weed and corals that the smaller fish eat.

Nice sized Bass. You wouldn't eat them unless you had to, but they are a sports fish for sure. They go hard!!!!!!!!

Agree - they fight hard, and dirty! Been reefed by plenty of these pricks.

I personally reckon they are pretty good on the chew too (though as has been said, you wouldnt eat one from Qld).

I have eaten one cooked into porridge...thought I would die from it.....but ended up having 2 more bowls! Didnt have diarrhoea either. Apparently the Thai & Burmese eat them like a normal fish....

Was fishing off Myanmar (Burma) on board for 6 days.....
